Writing for College is difficult. On the one hand, the level of writing is expected higher than in the high school. On the other hand you must normally with the personality of Professor and/or graduate assistant read your essay deal. Technically, this should not come into the game, but it will at some point. So what can you do to get your Professor how easy your essay past, and with the highest level possible?
First, you put your thesis statement in the first sentence or two. Much of the papers read professors and there will be a routine; an almost automatic activity. They want to know what you think, you want to argue for very early because once they, that they see going to read the rest of your essay looking for support. Trust me, professors read of every single word your paper. They fly over and the items that they want, the sets that will find their attention and comments on these elements. A clear thesis statement early makes reading your essay easier to see. Nothing is more you appeal to a teacher than the search all over the place trying to find out what you think to argue. An irritated Professor is not what you want to read your paper.
Secondly, take your paper to a writing Center on the campus or hire an editor to get small glitches of your writing. Error when using and/or awkward sentences make your essay frustrating to follow. Make sure that your essay is organized, this makes sense and flows naturally. Compete for most of you, not your essays for a Pulitzer Prize. Get over yourself and in a way that the efficient and your argument makes good writing. Keep in mind, what is the purpose of the Association. Usually it is to a capstone project some show how well you can apply an idea in an original way. Avoid elusive metaphors and analogies.
Keep in mind that a College Professor by hours and hours means of reading student papers. Granted, it is their job, but honest Professor will tell you that often read is not something papers they enjoy. This applies in particular to undergraduate courses to satisfy a general education requirement. Most students in these courses are only moderately interested in the topic. Or they took the course, because it fit into their schedule. Most students are not in a way writing or anything that the teachers did not read before it has will say. It can be tedious and tiring, paper read according to the paper, which has many errors, shows a lack of enthusiasm, is not good for a thesis argue or is simply all over the place. Tired and bored Professor is one that is rather to give to a lower grade paper.
It's an old saying, a teacher once told me: never your supervisor they don't already know the answer to the question. In other words, facilitate their work and make them feel like they know something. It is a very similar situation when writing for your college teachers. Make their work easy, so you can learn something. Nothing is more than a paper in the stack that does its job well is refreshing. Make this paper.
